This collection of poems is a continuation of my previous creation, Walking With Dogs: Reflections Of A Dog Walker. These poems represent my reflections during the days that I was home recovering from surgery. They run the gamut of emotions but can be succinctly divided into two groups: happy and sad. With another cancer diagnosis, my emotions have been a rollercoaster. Thoughts of mortality for myself, my clients and my own rescue dog are addressed in half of these poems. Thoughts of joy and happiness are explored in the other half of poems.

In life, we have both joy and sadness. We experience life and loss. Transitions are part of life for ourselves and with our fur people (both friends and family). My hope is that these poems resonate with others as they did for me. Thank you for being part of this journey.
